This is all the sex. Words have a hard time describing how much Beats Antique and Zoe Jakes turn me on.
It was Valentine’s Day 2010 when I first saw Zoe Jakes doing her thing at Lucent L’amour. After changing my life, I somehow ended up behind her walking to the stage where Bassnectar was performing next. I was so close, I almost reached out to touch her but something stopped me.
There seemed to be a darkness about her. She seemed sad. Alone. Afraid, though she was smiling and having an exchange with a tall man with a goatee. While I could see beams of light radiating from many of the people around me, her light, which I saw shine through while she was dancing on stage, seemed dimmed suddenly. The contrast was startling. But I could feel her beauty nonetheless (though with the spotlight and the makeup removed, she looked more ordinary than one would expect) and I plucked a ray of her energy to put in my pocket and take home with my forever.
